My wife Sarah and I went out for dinner last night to the new Bauer Kitchen that recently opened up at the Bauer Lofts in Waterloo, Ontario. The restaurant is owned by the same group that runs Charcoals, del Dentes, Martini’s and the ever popular Wildcraft Grill in town.
We had a great time.
The Bauer Kitchen is in the original Bauer building, so the weathered exterior makes it stand out from typical places. Inside, the vibe was modern and cool, with some old touches.
The food was very good; they custom made me a vegan pizza which was very good; my wife and friend Josh both enjoyed their dinner very much too.
Before dinner we popped into Vincenzo’s next door, a gourmet grocery store. They had a lot of stuff, including 4 large aisles of chocolate (always a winner in my book!), but I still prefer the Healthy Haven (Kara’s, David’s Gourmet, FiddleHeads etc) on Victoria and Bruce for that sort of stuff.
